VICTORIA Beckham has been hit by a furious backlash after using a super-skinny model to promote her 2018 collection of designer eyewear.
The latest campaign for the former Spice Girl’s Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer collection features waif-like model Giedre Dukauskaite posing in the range.
And after the photographs were released on the official Facebook page for Posh, 43, fans were quick to slam her for “promoting eating disorders”.
“This image is exactly why my already tiny daughter thinks she needs to eat less,” said one user.
Elena Mata Westerman wrote: “Sickly skinny! Beckham should be ashamed promoting eating disorders. Her young daughter is heavier than her models. Shame.”
Lorraine Sharpe added: “The model looks very poorly. This look definitely should not be promoted. She looks dangerously thin.”
And Agnieszka Cbulak said: “Beautiful clothes Victoria, but your model looks anorexic. Beautiful girl but doesn’t look healthy … instead of concentrating on her outfit I’m staring at her.”
Victoria has in the past spoken out against skinny models, claiming she had decided against using some “terribly thin” girls to appear on her catwalks.
And in 2010, she pledged to follow the Beauty Is Health campaign created by the Council Of Fashion Designers of America and ban extremely thin models from her shows.
But she came under fire last year after sharing snaps of her new clothing range being worn by tiny model Chantal Habscheid on Instagram.
