EXCLUSIVE images released from the set of Netflix series A Series of Unfortunate Events reveal season two is likely to be just as darkly comedic as the first.
Based on the internationally best-selling young adult book series by Lemony Snicket (the nom de plume of Daniel Handler), the show follows the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes), and (Sunny Presley Smith) — and their extraordinary encounters with their new guardian Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris).
The maniacal Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance after their parents are killed in a mysterious arsenous fire.
In season two, which premieres worldwide in Spring 2018 (Australian autumn, March-May), the tumultuous adventure continues as the children begin to discover more clues to their parents’ mysterious death and Count Olaf’s links to dangerous underground organisation.
Patrick Warburton (who plays Snicket) and K. Todd Freeman (who plays Mr. Poe) return for season two, while new additions to the cast include Lucy Punch, Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Sara Rue and Roger Bart.
